More Cycling Terms

Bonk - when a rider has absoluetly no energy left due to dehydration, or not eating enough during the stage.
King of the Mountains - This is a points competition that riders can earn as they cross the summit of each climb. The first rider over gets the most points, and then the points decrease for about 5th to 8th place.

    I asked about how much sleep the riders get and how the drug testing works during the race. PJ said that the riders get about 7-8 hours sleep. As far as the drug testing goes, each stage winner automatically gets tested immediately after the win, as well as 6 random riders get tested. The race officals post the names of the 6 riders to be tested during the race.
